Group Facilitators

Aidan Longtain
NLC, Teen Mentor 
Born and raised in Boulder County, Aidan currently splits his time between Louisville and Estes Park. He earned a BA in Religious Studies from the University of Colorado and is fascinated by interfaith mediation in conflict zones. Aidan is also an experienced group facilitator and has trained with organizations such as Partners for Youth Empowerment and Authentic World. Aidan, the product of a turbulent adolescence, strives to support youth in discovering how facing the suffering and trauma of childhood opens the door to a truly fulfilling adulthood.

A former competitive skateboarder, Aidan thrives in intensity and loves to be challenged. Some of his favorite things include campfires, bears, and quality craftsmanship.

Katia Nikitina
MSW            
Katia Nikitina, MSW, is dedicated to creating a regenerative future with and for today's youth. She aims to strengthen youth resilience through community building, introspective learning, and humane education. Katia has earned a BA in Psychology and Art, as well as a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Sustainable Development and Global Practice. She has nearly a decade of experience in the healthcare field, and has spent the last five years serving in management positions at Fire Mountain Residential Treatment Center. During her time at Fire Mountain, Katia has helped hundreds of young people improve their interpersonal relationships, cultivate coping skills, and find their path. Supporting youth in experiencing moments of epiphany and self-actualization have been among her most cherished professional accomplishments. Katia moved to Boulder County from Russia in 1998, and takes great pride in continuing to serve teens in her home community.

Katia currently works with the University of Denver's Institute for Human-Animal Connection to study the bonds formed between children and animals. In recent years she has joined her father in training and competing in Olympic Air Pistol events. In her free time, Katia enjoys paddle boarding, sunny days, cooking meals with her mother, and caring for her plant and animal companions. When opportunities present, she enjoys hiking 14'ers and embracing her secret love for karaoke.

Shelby Robbins
Coach     
Shelby is a coach and mentor for teens and families. She has a background working in residential teen treatment with teens ages 12-17 who struggled with self harm, suicide, severe trauma, and a host of personality and mood issues. Shelby loves teenagers and is able to "Get them" in a way that is productive for parents and families. In addition Shelby has been in the field of personal transformation and self development for nearly a decade and enjoys bringing her many tools to the table to support those seeking growth. In addition - Shelby is an avid reader, enjoys planning adventures with family and friends, and is a fan of antelopes.
